We specialize in water feature design, construction and maintenance. When you hire A Frog's Dream Aquatic Center a water feature specialist will come to your home and perform the services you require. Don't settle for less, get a specialist and get it done right the first time. Our Pond Service Technicians take the utmost care in getting your pond or water feature in tip top shape. Rest assured we do get the job done right not matter what it takes. We want you to enjoy the beauty of a water feature, not be frustrated by it.

New Water Feature Consultation:
Interested in a water feature, but not sure where to put it, how to lay it out, or what kind of feature will fit your needs?
This service is here for these needs. We will help you with your new water feature placement, design, and provide an estimate for the construction of your new water feature. From your initial contact to A Frog's Dream Aquatic Center, we are dedicated to making your new water feature a dream come true. We will visit you at your home, listen to your ideas, and design and prepare a detailed estimate for the construction of your new water feature.
For this service we do charge a nominal fee of $150.00. For this fee we will spend time with you at your home or office to develop the best design for your new water feature, we will present our estimate to you, and answer all your questions. Should you decide to have A Frog's Dream Aquatic Center create your new feature we will credit the $150.00 to the cost of your feature installation.
Pond Consulting Services:
Having a pond problem? Did you decide to install your pond yourself and need some onsite advice?
We offer consulting services for any pond situation you may encounter. From green water frustration to the installation of your new pond we can help you enjoy your pond and not get frustrated. Included in these services is leak detection, fish problems, pump replacement, aquatic plant delivery and placement, etc..
If it doesn't fit into any other category it certainly fits here.
The fees for this service are $50.00 Service call charge and $75.00 per hour thereafter. These fees do not include any materials needed to complete services requested.
Our goal is to help you in any way we can to make your pondering experience an enjoyable one. We offer free troubleshooting and design services at our aquatic center during normal business hours. Feel free to stop by with pictures, measurements and any information you have about your pond or new pond location and we will spend as much time as we can to help you with your situation.
Spring Pond Start Ups
Annual Spring Start Ups
What we do: Beginning March 15th weather permitting
This service is provided to get your pond cleaned up and ready for the spring. If a pond is maintained diligently during the year your pond will not need to be drained and cleaned. Our goal is to NOT have to do this. However in some cases this is necessary and cannot be avoided. By not having to do a clean-out costs can be cut in half to have us perform your spring start up.
- Perform 20% Water Change
- Wash filter pads or Replace and reinstall in filter and skimmer
- Replace UV Bulb (if applicable)
- Remove any debris in pond (leaves sticks etc.)
- Replenish any gravel along stream or in pond and reset any unsettled rocks around pond.
- Trim Aquatic Plants and split/repot if necessary.
- Reconnect pump get filtration system running and waterfall going if applicable.
- Check pond lights and replace any bad bulbs
- Fertilize all aquatic plants
- Start Refilling pond*
- Add initial Dose of Spring Bacteria and S.A.B. (algae preventer)
- Add Dechlorinator, PimaFix, MelaFix, and Prazi to aid in fish health
- Catch and place fish in temporary holding tanks
- Completely Drain pond and Clean out all debris in pond and waterfall/stream including sludge etc..
- Start Refilling pond*
*We will not stay for the duration of the pond filling. You will be responsible for topping the water off in the pond and plugging your pump back in.
The spring start up is one of the most important services of the year. With a proper start up your pond gets a head start on the year to come. This helps prevent green water syndrome and helps with fish health. Because we take great care in performing your clean-out an exact scheduled date for your service cannot be assigned. Each pond customer will receive our undivided attention during their service. If you require additional work to be done to your pond we will perform this service while we are there, we will not leave until your pond is in tip top shape. Your name will be put on a scheduled service list and we will provide services on a first come first serve basis. You will receive a call 1-2 days prior to your expected service date. If for some reason we are being held up, we will provide you with a courtesy phone call as to our progress. We will keep you up to date. Just remember, we are going to give you our undivided attention when we are servicing your pond.
The average spring start-up runs between $350.00 and $500.00 for an average size pond of 11'x16'.

- Prune Back Aquatic Plants
- Remove Tropical Plants
Pond Closing: After Thanksgiving
- Remove Pond Netting
- Clean-out excess Leaves in Pond
- Install Pond De-Icer and Aeration Pump
- Remove Filter Pump (if necessary)
- Drain all Filtration Systems
- Apply Initial Dose of Fall Formulated Bacteria
