Pond Openings

Please use Spring Clean-Out Request Form to sign up for these services.

What we do: Beginning March 15th weather permitting

  • Catch and place fish in temporary holding tanks
  • Completely Drain pond and Clean out all debris in pond and waterfall/stream
    (Note: If feature is not in need of full clean-out we will perform a 20% water change. This will be determined upon arrival.)
  • Reconnect pump
  • Wash filter pads or Replace and reinstall in filter and skimmer
  • Check pond lights and replace any bad bulbs
  • Fertilize all aquatic plants
  • Replenish any gravel along stream or in pond
  • Start Refilling pond*
  • Add initial Dose of Spring Bacteria and Clarity Max+. (algae preventer)
  • Add Dechlorinator, PimaFix and MelaFix to aid in fish health
  • Replace UV Bulb (if applicable)

*We will not stay for the duration of the pond filling. You will be responsible for topping the water off in the pond and plugging your pump back in.

The average spring clean-out runs between $350.00 and $500.00 for an average size pond of 11'x16'.
